The case came to light after a complaint was filed by a resident of Muddegowdanahundi village at Varuna Police Station. According to the police, the victim was allegedly intercepted while travelling on a scooter on July 16. The accused allegedly abducted him, robbed him of gold ornaments and cash, and demanded a ransom for his release.
